Break The Chain of Transmission

The new coronavirus - Covid-19 outbreak was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 Mar 2020. Since then, it has spread to almost every continent in the world with more than 2 million confirmed cases and more than 130,000 deaths, as of 16 April 2020.

Virus, bacteria and fungus infection prevention has become a non- negotiable issue in our daily lives. The Covid-19 outbreak is no ordinary flu. It is more deadly with mortality rate of 3-4%, much higher than the mortality rate of seasonal flu of < 0.1%. Thus, breaking the chain of infection is key in controlling the outbreak. Hands are main pathways of germ transmission. Hand hygiene is therefore the most important measure to avoid the transmission of harmful germs, prevent and break the chain of infection.

Therefore, Aeras Medical is stepping up to help the community be part of the global action in breaking the chain of infection with our LCX Labs Hand Sanitizers. Our product is proven in its efficacy and is suitable for daily personal use as well as commercial use. This product is fortified with ingredients that protects as well as keeping hands moisturized with each use.

How dirty hands transmit germs?

Without proper hand hygiene, germs can spread from other people or surfaces when you:
  • Touch your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Prepare or eat food and drinks with unwashed hands
  • Touch a contaminated surface or objects
  • Blow your nose, cough or sneeze into hands and then touch other people’s hands or common objects.

Why Use Hand Sanitizer?

  • The best way to prevent the spread of infections and decrease the risk of getting sick is by washing your hands with plain soap and water, advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
  • If soap and water are not available, the CDC recommends using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 % alcohol to reduce the number of germs on your hands.
  • However, hand sanitizers do not eliminate all types of germs, are not as effective when hands are visibly dirty or greasy, and may not remove harmful chemicals.
